The cartography is based on the book ‘Paris Architect’ by Charles Belfoure. Set in 1942 Paris, the book is about a gifted architect Lucien, who is commissioned by a wealthy client to design secret hiding places for Jews. The commission will bring him a great deal of money but if caught, would get him killed. He needs to be clever enough to design a space so invisible that even the most determined Gestapo officer would not find it. A chapter has been selected which revolves around the tale of one such hiding place.
